And last but not least: here is something to remember: the music library business is a long term journey. Chances are you will not become an overnight millionaire! Music libraries are all about growing a steady stream of long term income. Compare it to rolling a snowball, but a snowball that sometimes rolls quickly, sometimes slowly. Quick or slow, it still grows.
We know it is not a great sales pitch but it is the reality of the business. And it says something about the Stock Music philosophy: we don’t over-sell or make huge promises to you. We just work hard, do our utmost best and with that attitude we hope you will stay and grow with us.
Michael Raphael has composed music for over 1000 TV and film projects and has been rewarded with Platinum and Golden records. Recently, he worked with Disney Records as a songwriter/producer, which included Miley Cyrus records and Disney Mania projects.
He was signed to Capital Records with his band Jailhouse in 1988 (which is still in rotation on VH-1 Classic). In 1999, he was signed by Randy Jackson to Columbia records with his band Neve, leading to a hit song, It’s Over Now, which placed on the Billboard charts. Neve also toured with acts like KISS, Rage Against The Machine, The Black Crowes, and many more.
As a producer and engineer, Michael has worked with dozens of up and coming artists and has just completed two pop/rock projects for Columbia/Sony. He has also worked side by side with platinum producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne and Escape the fate).

Andrea picked up his first guitar at the age of 6. Initially classically trained, he later moved on to modern styles, employing electric guitars and performing original music with bands. Part Sicilian, part Ukrainian, he grew up on a diet of Russian folk, Klezmer and the Italian harmony tradition. In addition to the guitar, Andrea also plays bass and keyboards. At 14 he bought his first 4 track recorder, and thus began his experimentation with sound, as he recalls: ‘I remember lying on my bed with headphones at night, listening to the raindrops through a microphone hanging down from the window.’
After a brief spell in the compulsory Italian military service, Andrea left the shores of his homeland for London, and to study his beloved music further. The next two years were essential in terms of both experience and influences. Gaining his first job as sound engineer/producer, Andrea soaked up a wealth of recording knowledge, all the time concentrating on his own music while he worked as a producer, guitarist or sound engineer.
As a session guitarist, Andrea’s style has been influenced by world music, resulting in a colourful pot pourri of Russian, Gypsy, Klezmer, hip hop, dub, soul, Latin, Cuban and African sounds. He has performed with some of the best exponents of these styles throughout the UK and Europe, and has also released a number of records, with styles ranging from dub and ambient. He often collaborates with Basement Jaxx. His many influences include Ennio Morricone (Andrea even studied with the master himself!), Vangelis, Arvo Pärt, Gavin Bryars, Bach, Vivaldi and Brian Eno to mention a few.
In addition to being a guitarist and composer Andrea is also a highly accomplished producer and sound engineer, which is why his tracks are not only good, they also sound great!

From an early age John was blowing wind down woodwind instruments, singing his tonsils off as a soloist and in choirs, and caressing the black and whites of the piano. The passion and commitment to his early musical journey led him to composing, writing production music and the birth of his lifelong learning and experimenting with mixing and mastering. Working with artists and composers, translating their musical visions into the final mixes and masters, John loves the diversity of the music he works on which mimics his eclectic listening.
Americana Crimescapes presents Henry’s artistic vision of creating a wonderful selection of crime scene music, the moody and dark world driven by his guitar led soundscapes. Working with Henry, John delved into the mixing of the tracks to craft the tone, grit and darkness of this musical crime world. The final touch at the mastering stage from John was giving Henry’s music the power and depth it deserved to set the stage for the transgressions of law.
