Music Submissions Guidelines

If you would like to submit your music for consideration for our music catalogue please pay attention to the following:

  • Do not call or email asking if it is okay to send music, we listen to everything that comes across our desk. Sometimes this takes a while, so please allow four to six weeks before querying if your music has been received and reviewed.
  • Our core focus is high-quality production music. If you care enough about your music that you want other people to pay attention to it, you need to make sure it stands out. We love new and exciting music. For your music to stand a better chance to get noticed, make sure you send us finished tracks NOT demos, unless they are brain-meltingly good.
  • You must own and control 100% of the copyright in both the composition and master recording. Sound-alikes and samples are not permitted.
  • We do not accept any music on a non-exclusive basis. We act as the exclusive music publisher for the compositions in our library, promoting and representing them to our clients worldwide through a network of sub publishers.
  • Make sure you are not under an exclusive agreement with another publisher.
  • Please do NOT email mp3s as they will be deleted.
  • Please submit a streaming link ONLY for 5-8 songs to and any other info that you think is pertinent.

And last but not least: here is something to remember: the music library business is a long term journey. Chances are you will not become an overnight millionaire! Music libraries are all about growing a steady stream of long term income. Compare it to rolling a snowball, but a snowball that sometimes rolls quickly, sometimes slowly. Quick or slow, it still grows.

We know it is not a great sales pitch but it is the reality of the business. And it says something about the Stock Music philosophy: we don’t over-sell or make huge promises to you. We just work hard, do our utmost best and with that attitude we hope you will stay and grow with us.

Andrea Terrano

Andrea Terrano – maverick of the music industry

Andrea picked up his first guitar at the age of 6. Initially classically trained, he later moved on to modern styles, employing electric guitars and performing original music with bands. Part Sicilian, part Ukrainian, he grew up on a diet of Russian folk, Klezmer and the Italian harmony tradition. In addition to the guitar, Andrea also plays bass and keyboards. At 14 he bought his first 4 track recorder, and thus began his experimentation with sound, as he recalls: ‘I remember lying on my bed with headphones at night, listening to the raindrops through a microphone hanging down from the window.’

After a brief spell in the compulsory Italian military service, Andrea left the shores of his homeland for London, and to study his beloved music further. The next two years were essential in terms of both experience and influences. Gaining his first job as sound engineer/producer, Andrea soaked up a wealth of recording knowledge, all the time concentrating on his own music while he worked as a producer, guitarist or sound engineer.

As a session guitarist, Andrea’s style has been influenced by world music, resulting in a colourful pot pourri of Russian, Gypsy, Klezmer, hip hop, dub, soul, Latin, Cuban and African sounds. He has performed with some of the best exponents of these styles throughout the UK and Europe, and has also released a number of records, with styles ranging from dub and ambient. He often collaborates with Basement Jaxx. His many influences include Ennio Morricone (Andrea even studied with the master himself!), Vangelis, Arvo Pärt, Gavin Bryars, Bach, Vivaldi and Brian Eno to mention a few.

In addition to being a guitarist and composer Andrea is also a highly accomplished producer and sound engineer, which is why his tracks are not only good, they also sound great!

The music he collaborated on charted and received a lot of support from radio stations across the globe, including BBC1xtra, Radio 1, Kiss FM & Choice FM in the UK.

Over the last couple of years, Alex has been steadily developing his career as a composer for film and tv, getting regular usage from his music all over the world on channels such NETFLIX, HBO, BBC, Channel 4 and Amazon PRIME.

Not just another music library!

Stock Music is partnering with the London-based library label Fantasy to offer their catalogue of high-end production music in Belgium. Fantasy Production Music – aka FPM –  is the brain child of Ossi Bashiri, one of the founder writers and original owners of the unorthodox production musicpowerhouse Extreme Music. With Steve Cole – ex-Universal production music managing director – at the helm, FPM’s aim is to deliver only music that has something unique and creative to it, in composition and arrangement.

Stock Music is proud to announce the signing of the first album by the award winning American composer Michael Raphael. SMI406 Epic Rock is exactly what it says on the tin: full force rock with gritty guitar riffs and solid, punchy drums perfect for extreme sports, car racing and dramatic action.
